Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: July 2026

The short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission. You pay exactly the same price. Every play activity on this site is free and needs nothing bought.

Where affiliate links appear

Only on product recommendations — the toy pickspage, the picks strip on the home page, and the optional "if you want to buy something" boxes at the end of some activities. These links carry a sponsored nofollow attribute and open in a new tab.

Links between our own pages, and links to sources or organisations, are never affiliate links.

Amazon Associates

Learn with Play participates in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.in. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

How this affects what we recommend

It does not decide what goes on the list. Our bias is stated openly on the picks page: we favour open-ended toys — blocks, dough, puzzles, books — that stay useful for years, over single-function electronic toys. Commission rates are similar across these categories anyway, so there is no financial reason for us to push one over another.

More to the point, the entire site is built on the argument that you do not need to buy anything. Rice, dal, katoris and bottle caps are the main equipment. That is a strange position for a site trying to maximise affiliate income, and it is deliberate.

About the prices

Prices shown on this site are indicative only. They change frequently and we cannot keep them live. Always check the current price on the store's own page before buying.

Not medical advice

Activities and articles here are general parenting ideas, not medical, psychological or educational advice. Children develop at very different rates. If you have concerns about your child's development, speak to your paediatrician — they know your child and we do not.
