Build the tower
Tap the letter that comes next.
Well played! Now try the real one.
Stack real steel katoris or blocks as high as they will go, then let your child knock them over. Their hands learn balance and gentle placing, which a screen cannot teach.
Stack and Crash Tower →Play it together
Sit with your child and say each letter out loud as it lands: M, A, M, A, Mama! Let them choose the word. Their own name, typed in the box, is usually the favourite.
What it practises
Putting letters in order to make a word. That is all we claim for it. The real version,Stack and Crash Tower, does the same job with things from your kitchen, and does it better.
Five minutes on the screen is plenty. No sign-up, no sound, no ad networks, and nothing your child types leaves this page. More games in the Play corner.
Questions parents ask
What does the tower game teach?
One thing: that the letters of a word go in a set order. The child finds the next letter each time, so they are reading the word left to right, one letter at a time. Words like MAMA and NANI work well first because the letters repeat.
My child taps the wrong letter a lot. Should I help?
Point at the empty slot and say the sound of the letter that goes there, then let them find it. A wrong tap only wiggles, so there is nothing to be upset about. Short family words are easier than new words.
